1. download https://github.com/tomlankhorst/kohana-3.3-mysqli
2. extract content of kohana-3.3-mysqli-masterclassesDatabase to
3. KOHANA_FOLDER/modules/database/classes/Database
4. change database type inside kochana db config from
'type' => 'MySQL'
to
'type' => 'MySQLi',
